About A Star Service
A Star Service was established in 1988 by Mike Turvey and is very much a family company and not a franchise. Mike is very experienced in all aspects of carpet & upholstery cleaning, including furniture & carpet/floor covering that is considered difficult to care for & that some contractors will not attempt to clean! We also clean oriental rugs. We also clean leather furniture.
We can also apply any necessary treatments to carpets & furnishing including Stain protection, flea treatment, dust mite protection, anti-static & flame retardant treatment. If it’s a treatment that works or is worth having, we can do it.
We take care of both the commercial & domestic customer & pride ourselves on being ‘big enough to cope & small enough to care’, with many hundreds of customers who return to us again & again. We handle a lot of ‘end of tenancy’ cleaning of carpets & upholstery & can provide flea treatment services where pets have been kept. We do not take care of the house cleaning, but have several cleaners we can recommend.
We are also qualified & experienced to deal with the effects of flooding & leaks, whether due to weather or plumbing problems & are used to dealing with insurance companies, but also hire out the equipment privately, should it be required.
We can also strip & seal hard floors.
We do not use sub-contractors & are fully insured to carry out all of the above.
Mike is a full member of the British Institute of Cleaning Science (MBICSc) & a Master member of ‘Proclean’ (the professional Cleaners Association.
